Wet Fun for the Little Ones

Water parks for toddlers and infants provide free use of approved personal flotation devices or life vests. Baby care centers and family restrooms are available throughout the parks. Plastic bottles and containers are free of charge considering the concern with glass breakage, and many parks offer swim diapers at a low cost.

When traveling to a water park with an infant or toddler it's a great idea to create a check list on what to bring to the water park. Lockers are available to keep personal belongings that you do not wish to get wet while in the water park.

No matter where you are, there is sure to be a toddler water park to satisfy your every whim. Make it a fun family day trip, or plan a vacation to the best water parks in the world!

Typhoon Lagoon - Lake Buena Vista, FL

This is a wonderful place to take the little kiddies because it is a section of the water park just for them. It features an interactive leaking tugboat and a mini ripply-rapids ride. Little squirts love that the rides are just their size in this children's water play area. It is a great section of the water park that is very family and toddler friendly.

Water Country USA - Williamsburg, VA

The H2O UFO is the most popular trio of children's areas and it has two major play elements. The first is a parent/child slide that brings you into a three foot deep splash pool, and the second is like a large playground with three slides which also empty you into a splash pool. Another wonderful feature is that all the children's areas have a baby changing station that includes a sink, a changing table with liners and a swim diaper vending machine.

Raging Waters - San Dimas, CA

This water park is very family oriented especially for the youngsters because it has four different activities/rides that the little ones can enjoy. Besides these rides being in a completely separate area of the park, it only allows children who are under 48 inches. The most interactive ride is the Splash Island Adventure which has 12 levels of fun and 75 different activities. It includes five waterslides, water cannons, web crawl tunnels, spiral cargo nets, swinging bridges, and features a 1,000 gallon bucket that dumps water over the whole attraction every few minutes.

Schlitterbahn Water Park - New Braunfels, TX

Safety is one of the big things about Schlitterbahn that make it a big attraction for families with smaller children. In the children's area there are plenty of nationally certified lifeguards and even the water is UV-filtered for your protection! You may also bring a picnic lunch, so it makes it easier for your wallet with the little ones. If that isn't an issue there is plenty of food inside the park.

Splish Splash - Riverhead, NY

If you're not under 44 inches tall or aren't accompanying a child who meets that height, then take a hike! This section of the water park is solely for the little ones. It is much like Raging Waters which is located in San Dimas, CA which is because it is owned by the same company. This section of the water park consists of five rides/attractions, the most popular being the pirate ship and octopus pool.
